OUR STORY…
Loriana’s is more than a name — it’s a legacy 💛
The name combines my two grandmothers: Loretta Schmidt of Safotu and Taiana McCarthy-Devoe of Tufuiopa and Vaimoso. These incredible women were my prayer warriors, my strength, and my style icons. From them, I inherited a fierce spirit, a love for dressing up, and a deep pride in my Samoan heritage. Every design I create carries their confidence, boldness, and timeless grace.
In 2018, while navigating life as a wife to a professional athlete and full-time mum of three, I found myself feeling lost. I had a Business and IT degree but couldn’t see where it all fit. The corporate world wasn’t for me, and the juggle between motherhood and work life was overwhelming — until one day, everything just clicked. I began creating from our guest room in Hamilton, and Loriana’s was born.
What started as a side hustle fuelled by passion has now grown into a thriving online store and our beautiful new showroom — all built from the heart 🦋

WHO ARE WE?🤎
We are a proudly Polynesian-owned fashion and design label, deeply rooted in family, culture, and creativity 🥥🌺✨
At Loriana’s, I design every garment and product myself — from concept to colour, print to pattern. As a qualified graphic designer, I pour my love for bold colour, tropical beauty, and storytelling into every piece. My mum, Serafina — the original founder of Loriana’s in Samoa back in 2007 — remains our main supplier and manufacturer, allowing us to keep production close to home and heart.
We’re proudly a family business, built by women and powered by generations. Our mission is to create beautiful, meaningful pieces that celebrate Polynesian identity and honour the strong women who came before us 🤍
OUR PHILOSOPHY
“At Loriana’s, everything we create is rooted in love, legacy, and cultural pride. We believe fashion should tell a story — one of strength, heritage, and identity.
As a mum and designer, I built this brand from the ground up — designing my own website, logo, and garments — turning my passion into purpose.
We produce in small batches with care, honouring my mother’s legacy and giving back to my parents in true Samoan spirit.
“E lele le toloa ae ma’au i le vai” – no matter where life takes us, our hearts remain close to home.”
